The Planet Recording Studio - Audio Mastering UK

Planet Recording is the recording studio of composer David Wright the founder of AD Music and provides audio mastering services and professional cd mastering. The UK musician's private studio is located in the outskirts of the charming Suffolk market town of Bungay and incorporates the expertise of several other professional musicians and engineers as and when required. An overnight facility is available upon request.

In addition to recording and engineering dozens of his own award winning solo albums, David has provided audio mastering services for many albums on the AD Music label selling globally via international distributor New World Music. David has also been involved in recording and CD mastering UK commercial music covering styles ranging from classical opera to country and western.

Audio mastering services provide the final part of the music process where the music is given the final gloss in readiness for CD manufacture and includes, EQ, stereo width, noise reduction, phase & balance correction, Peak limiting, track sequencing and PQ encoding, fades and crossfades and IRSC codes.

David and his team are versed in modern computer based music technology using Logic Pro and are also experienced with analogue equipment and all aspects of live recording and performing.

Our audio mastering facilities utilise high end MAC based software including Waves, Izotope and PSP along with hardware mastering by DBX Quantum giving a huge range of options for any and all musical styles.

Please note that Planet Recording is a "Project Studio", or, in a major commercial studio set-up it would be "Studio 2". It's not, therefore, geared up for bands and we have no rehearsal rooms. However, we can provide location recording.

Studio Rates

Studio Rates £30 per hour / £250 per 10 hour day / £1000 per 40 hour week / £1750 per 2 x 40 hour weeks

Non refundable 10% deposit required 3 months in advance for bookings of a week or more, payable by PayPal or cheque. Balance payable at end of session by cash only in UK sterling.

Outside Recording £40 per hour
